Norbert Hofmann completed his diploma studies of Business at the WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) within the minimum duration of study, receiving excellence scholarships; followed by studies of Social and Economic Sciences within the Doctoral program of the WU, completed with highest distinction.
During more than 16 years of engagement in various renowned, global industrial companies, he successfully held several top management positions, gaining extensive international leadership experience.
Thereafter Norbert Hofmann joined STRABAG in 2007, started as a Member of the Executive Board of its subsidiary EFKON - a leading provider of intelligent transportation and tolling systems - in 2009, was appointed as CEO of EFKON in 2014 and additionally as CEO of STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions – deploying state-of-the-art communication and safety systems - in 2019.
Acting as a Member of the Board of STRABAG AG, Commercial Division Manager and spearhead of STRABAG’s newly founded Division Energy Infrastructure since 2025, Norbert Hofmann is, together with his technical counterpart, jointly accountable for overseeing the development of the water, energy, pipeline, and smart infrastructure business of the Division worldwide.
His expertise and leadership are specifically instrumental in expanding the business portfolio of Energy Infrastructure, while strengthening the global footprint of STRABAG.
