Strengthening our presence in India: STRABAG Energy Infrastructure leadership visits EFKON India and Orbittal

A delegation from STRABAG Energy Infrastructure recently visited EFKON India and Orbittal to celebrate EFKON India’s 25th anniversary and advance Orbittal’s integration into the Group. During the three-day visit, management explored manufacturing capabilities and discussed future collaboration in one of the world's fastest-growing markets.

A delegation from STRABAG Energy Infrastructure recently visited EFKON India and Orbittal, the newest member of the STRABAG Group.

The visit marked two important milestones:

the celebration of 25 years of EFKON India and
the continued integration of Orbittal into the STRABAG Group.

Over three days, representatives from across STRABAG Energy Infrastructure exchanged ideas with local teams, explored manufacturing capabilities and discussed future opportunities for collaboration in one of the world's fastest-growing infrastructure markets.

A key highlight was the inauguration of Orbittal's Innovation & Experience Center, showcasing advanced solutions in LED lighting, low-voltage control panels, electronics manufacturing and Industry 4.0. The delegation also inaugurated Orbittal's expanded Electronics Contract Manufacturing (ECMS) and LED Manufacturing Units, which have increased production capacity by 15–20% through state-of-the-art automation and IPC-compliant manufacturing processes.

The visit also provided the opportunity to celebrate EFKON India's 25th anniversary and recognise colleagues whose commitment and expertise have contributed to the company's successful development over the past decades.

Expanding our portfolio in India

The integration of Orbittal significantly strengthens STRABAG Energy Infrastructure's presence in India. Together with EFKON India, the company expands its portfolio with innovative manufacturing capabilities and smart infrastructure solutions, creating additional value for customers and supporting the Group's long-term growth strategy.

The 25th anniversary of EFKON India is for me a very special event, as I have had the honor and privilege to actively participate in the exciting business development journey of the company since the year 2009. The success story of this entity developed over the business fields tolling, ATMS, Smart Cities and finally evolved to electrical & mechanical solutions (E&M). The most recent business and organisational development step happened with the highly esteemed acquisition of Orbittal end of last year and I am happy to see that integration is progressing very well.

Orbittal is an ideal complement to our existing competencies in India.
